My husband would like to get a new car for me. We are going to do things differently this time. We are going to look at lots of car reviews before we buy anything. Unlike the last time, where all I did was test drive a couple I liked the look of. I did buy my last car because of the way it looked, not how it ran or its fuel consumption. I paid for and learned from that decision.
I think it is important to pay attention to car reviews. They bring to your attention things that the car sales people will not. They want to make a sale. Car reviews are there to educate and warn potential buyers. The reviews are also a great way to get to know a car and decide if it is worth looking into or pricing out. I have already used car reviews to eliminate a couple of cars from my list. I also added a couple of cars that I had not even thought of. My husband insisted we look at reviews for all the cars currently available. I am glad he did. I am actually leaning toward a car I had not paid any attention to before. It did not fit my idea of a sporty but useful car. It actually was better in the performance, storage and maintenance than any of the other cars I was looking into. It is a surprising good little car. I would never have found it if I had not looked over the reports.
