From what I've read so far, it might be smarter for me to put more money into my car rather than buying a different one. I am not a car kind of person, and the only thin I really care about is the mileage. My car gets 35 in town and 50 on the highway, and to get that mileage, I'd have to buy a hybrid, which my car is not. Most cars are getting less than 35 on the highway, according to the car reviews. The only things my car needs is a new paint job and hubcap covers, and I guess that is a whole lot cheaper than a new car.

Reading car reviews has been really educational for me. It's amazing how cars are built these days to last so long. Aside from the union problems, it's no wonder Detroit is going out of business. The cars last a long time, they are expensive to buy, and the fuel economy is nothing to write home about.
