consumer complaints, consumer electronicsTo my way of thinking, everybody has the right to object if they are dissatisfied with a product or service that they have purchased. We work hard for our money and therefore we have every right to expect good value, especially when it comes to big ticket items such as vehicles or consumer electronics. The best course of action is to make a consumer complaint about any product or service that isn’t up to standard. Consumer complaints usually take the form of phone calls, emails or letters.
When making consumer complaints via pone call the most important thing to remember is to keep control of your emotions. While it is true that you have every right to be angry, shouting and screaming will get you nowhere fast. Working in customer service is much more difficult than many people think. Consider that the person you are berating is probably paid a measly seven dollars an hour to let angry customers shout at them all day. Therefore you are much more likely to get a favorable result if you treat them with some respect.
When you are making consumer complaints via letter or email the same rules apply. Rude angry missives are not pleasant to read. You are more likely to get a refund or replacement if you state your case clearly and civilly without ibeing insulting. If you can’t express your disapproval regarding a product or service without resorting to bad manners, wait until you have calmed down.
