If you are planning on buying a big ticket consumer electronics product soon, get online and read the consumer complaints about the product that you are considering. Sometimes word of mouth can make or break a product, and before you set out to spend a lot of money on something, reading the opinions of others on the product you want will let you know whether or not to buy it. Just as with cars, sometimes there are lemons, so if there are only one or two complaints, you might be OK buying what you are researching.
Not only will you read about the product's reliability, you will also read consumer complaints or praises about their customer service. Sometimes customer service can be a really important aspect of your purchase. Getting a hold of a real human being when you have questions or problems can be a hassle. The customer service representatives can make life good or bad. Use consumer complaints to establish how responsible the company is toward its customers. Some companies are great-others are hopeless. You'll certainly get an earful on some appliances or electronics when you read the reviews. |
