Not that many years ago if you had consumer complaints concerning a product or service, you  went to the store and spoke to the person in charge of the consumer complaints office. Not so these days as most traditional brick and mortar stores no longer offer this option to shoppers.  What if you buy stuff online? Who do you file a consumer complaint with? You might be surprised to know that online stores have toll free phone numbers to call if you have a problem with a product you purchased from them. They offer this service because they realize an unhappy customer who is not given proper service is going to cost them 25 potential future customers due to the negative opinion the one unsatisfied customer will generate with people they know. I have bought many items online and in only one case was the product defective. I called the company with my consumer complaints about this purchase and they paid to have the item shipped back and sent a new item. No hassle at all and they were very sorry and understanding. Believe me when I say most reputable companies selling online do not want unhappy customers so they will do all they can to correct any consumer complaints you have.
