In one of my previous posts last week, I talked about the flexibility of the new iPod Touch. In terms of media related consumer electronics that product was one of the best out there. But Archos is a strong competitor and almost every consumer electronics review agrees that this products is universally better then the Touch for two reasons price and available space. As you will see in the consumer electronics video review that I attached the Archos 605 does everything the Touch does with more available hard drive space and for a less expensive price. The video on this product is unbelievable with a resolution of 800 x 400. You have to pay for plug-ins such as the web browser to use the WiFi, which will cost 30 dollars. Many other features are available but have to be paid for. That is how Archos kept their prices down. A TV DVR feature is also available. The internet is java enabled which is key for viewing multi media based websites. There is a 160GB model available for 400 dollars.
