consumer complaintsElectronic products flood the market these days. It seems that there's an electronic gizmo for just about everything. Some items are cheaper than others because they are mass-produced. Unfortunately such mass produced electronic items are often the cause of consumer complaints, because the cost of repair is sometimes equal to or greater than the price an individual paid for an item. Consumer complaints also crop up because cheap mass-produced electronic items tend to act up, which is excessively aggravating because we come to rely on such items far more than we think. For example, I know if my computer stopped working I would feel as though somebody had amputated a limb. Most consumer complaints are justified. It seems that nothing is built to last these days, and nobody wants the Wii games console they paid $500 for to break after less than a year of use. Although I think most consumer complaints are valid, I'm of the opinion that it's worth paying a little extra for the best quality item that will last a bit longer, and keeping it until it breaks. Looking for cheaper versions of every new item that comes out just to keep up with the neighbors is a senseless, acquisitive waste of money.
